Girls Just Wanna Have “Sun”

Confession: I was an avid sun worshipper in my younger years and I was guilty of the occasional tanning bed session. Yikes! I also never wore sunscreen unless I was on vacation. Today, it’s a whole different story!

Sunshine and Good Vibes

The truth is I used to hate wearing sunscreen because it always felt so heavy on my skin and had an overwhelming strong smell. I also thought I could get away with not wearing it until I started seeing visible negative effects of the sun on my skin. I realized I couldn’t get away with just using sunscreen on beach days. It’s funny because despite knowing how important it was to wear sunscreen every day, I still didn’t do it. This had to change because it was obvious that sunshine was no longer givin’ me good vibes, but wrinkles instead!

Common Reasons Most Women Don’t Wear a Sunscreen

1.     It’s not sunny out.

2.     They don’t like the smell.

3.     It’s too greasy or heavy on their skin.

4.     It makes their skin white.

5.     They say they don’t get sunburns.

If you’re guilty of using any of these excuses, you’re not alone. We have all heard the importance of sunscreen a million times, so let this post serve as another gentle reminder. The only way to keep your skin looking youthful and healthy is to wear sunscreen every day. Every. Single. Day. Rain or shine.

Live. Laugh. Wear Sunscreen.

Since I have started working with Olay I was given the opportunity to try a lot of their products. When I tried Olay Total Effects SPF 15, I was really surprised. I was expecting the same old “sunscreen feel”, but that wasn’t the case. It’s sheer, lightweight and actually really hydrating! I was so happy to have found a good SPF moisturizer. Not to mention, Olay Total Effects SPF 15 is packed with vitamins too!

I Got 99 Problems, But The Sun Ain’t One

I pride myself in being an advocate for positive health and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Taking care of our skin is very much a big part of this puzzle. Oddly, 2/3 women know they should wear SPF daily, yet only 1/3 actually do - I was one of those people. Now Olay Total Effects SPF 15 is a staple in my morning routine. In addition to protecting my skin from the sun’s harmful rays, it also offers other benefits including moisturizing, visibly smoothing fine lines and wrinkles and enhancing brightness. It’s a complete win in my opinion! If you’re one of those three women as well, it’s time you reconsider and give Olay Total Effects SPF 15 a try. Your skin will thank you later!
