28 Days To Healthy Skin
Creating a healthy habit isn’t always easy, especially when life gets busy and you’re juggling work life and mom life. But we all know that we see positive results when we commit to something daily like eating better, being active or promoting self care in simple ways like taking care of our skin!
Earlier in September I publicly accepted the Olay 28-Day Challenge and that meant committing to a daily skincare routine comprised of two products: Olay Total Effects Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 15 and Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I promised myself I would do it! And just like with a fitness routine, results only happen with consistency and commitment over time. I was ready to embark on this 28-day journey to visibly healthier skin.
Let the Adventure Begin
I have always been an advocate of self-care and a solid skincare regimen is a part of this too. Confession: I had always been inconsistent with SPF in my younger days and had never used an eye cream before in my life. This lack of care showed in my skin. Nonetheless, after just one week in the challenge, I was already seeing signs that the product was working! My skin was starting to look less dull and way more hydrated. My face just looked brighter! Once I hit the halfway mark, the improvements in my skin started to become more visible. I know that it’s the same with fitness - you hit a mark in your journey that makes you say “WOW” when you look in the mirror and pushes you to keep going. By day 18 I was seeing positive changes in my skin tone, texture and even fine lines were starting to disappear. I was in shock! I always had issues with dark spots and even they were visibly reduced. I should also mention the skin around my eyes were nice and plump too. The cooling gel in Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel helps to hydrate that delicate skin under the eye, where fine lines appear first. We all know that our eyes are the biggest age tell, so this improvement made me happy! This definitely called for a selfie!

I made it! Creating this daily habit of following a quality skincare routine was actually easy and effective. I can see and feel a difference in my skin! Being a mom is the best gig in the world, but motherhood can take a toll on our skin – late nights, juggling after-school activities or even just day-to-day mom life can be stressful.
