Valentine’s Day Date Ideas 2025
Keep the spark alive this Valentine’s Day (even when you’re exhausted!)
Valentine’s Day can easily slip through the cracks between work, kids, and life. But this year, let’s make it count! Whether you’re looking for a big gesture or a simple way to reconnect with your husband, I’ve got you covered with these Valentine’s Day date ideas.
Plan a cozy date night in 🛋️
Sometimes, the best nights are the ones spent at home. Put the kids to bed early (if possible!) and create your own cozy retreat.
Pick a fun recipe you’ve never tried before or order in your favourite meal (we love Pai, of course), pour some wine, and cook side by side.
Choose a classic romantic movie or binge-watch your favourite show with popcorn and snacks.
Create a spa-like experience at home and take turns giving each other massages or facials
Recreate your first date 🍷
Take a walk down memory lane by recreating your first date. Go to the same restaurant, order the same meal, or even listen to the same playlist on the drive. Reliving those early moments is a great way to reignite the spark. Our first date was The School in Markham nearly 20 years ago!
Adventure time 👫🏽
Spice things up with a little adventure. If you can get a babysitter, try something you’ve never done together:
Book a journey at Othership and enjoy the sauna + cold plunge together. Use CODE TRISHA11 for 11% off.
Try out a cooking, dance or paint class for a new shared experience that can help with reconnection.
Write love letters 💌
This one’s perfect if you want something meaningful but low-key. Take some time to write each other a love letter. Reflect on the little things you love about each other, your favourite memories, and your hopes for the future. Exchange them over dinner or dessert.
Go old school with a surprise 💝
Surprise him with something classic but personal like:
Prep a breakfast in bed! Start the day with his favourite meal and a handwritten note. My hubby loves a traditional Filipino breakfast!
Leave little notes around the house with clues that lead to his favourite treat or a small gift.
Write down 10-15 of your favourite memories together and read them aloud during the evening.
A mini-getaway 🚗
If you’re feeling ambitious, plan a quick overnight trip or a staycation at a nice hotel. We love 1hotel here in Toronto and if you can get away, head up north to escape the city! Even one night away from the routine can feel like a luxury. Bonus points if there’s a hot tub involved!
A simple walk & talk 👩🏽❤️👨🏽
Don’t underestimate the power of a good conversation. Take a long walk, hold hands, and just talk. Whether it’s about the good old days or your hopes for the future, it’s about being present with each other.

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be grand to be meaningful. The real gift is carving out time to connect and show your love in a way that feels authentic to your relationship. Whether you go all out or keep it simple, the important thing is being together 💕
