Don’t Be Afraid to DIY
I get it - Buying a costume in a store can be expensive! If you’re looking to save money, it’s time to get creative and make your own. You’d be surprised at how many amazing Halloween costumes you can make from things you probably already have at home. I’ve shared a few images here that were all under $20!
This one’s for the music lovers
Pick your favourite artist and look at one of their infamous stage outfits or album covers. Then, get creative with your DIY project! We dressed up as Rihanna and her dancers from the 2023 Super Bowl. You can be as creative as you want with musicians; think Olivia Rodrigo with stickers on her face from her album SOUR, or go all Lenny Kravitz with big scarves! Have fun, and the possibilities are endless!
With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility
If you’re looking for a quick idea for a family theme this halloween, superoheroes are the way to go. There are so may options and some that you can do for a big or small family. We are big Avengers fans, but you can simply go with Batman and Robin, The Incredbiles or even PJ Masks!
Flip The Switch
The Flip the Switch challenge was a viral dance trend on TikTok in 2020, which used a Drake lyric to get people to trade identities with each other. This is a fun idea you can do with your partner and it doesn’t cost a penny!
When in doubt, pick a movie
If you’re still stuck on ideas, try going through your list of favourite movies. The options are endless and you can blow people out of the water with your creativity! Have fun with this one because you really can’t go wrong! Some ideas include: Clueless, Ghostbusters, Harry Potter, Wayne’s World, or The Breakfast Club.
We have two hands; one to help yourself and second to help others
Nothing better than showing love and respect for our front line workers and community helpers for obvious reasons. If you are looking to show some extra love, hook you and the fam up with matching costumes for the occasion. Think doctors, nurses, police officers, teachers, vets and fire fighters … or even ghostbusters!
