Mega Moves To Lift Your Mom Butt

We all know the "mom bum" is real! Yes, squats are great for building the booty, but let's not forget about the lunge. You can even do different variations of the lunge to better target the mom butt and work on lifting your behind! Happy hump day, mommies!

Ps - lunges offer something that most exercises don't — a good stretch! Depending on your depth and range of motion, lunges help to increase flexibility in your hips.

Here are 3 simple variations of the traditional lunge:

Reverse Lunges

Begin with your feet together, holding a weight or kettlebell in front of your chest. As you step your right foot back into a deep lunge, lower the weight to your left foot. Make sure your left knee is directly over your ankle. Step your right foot forward to return to the starting position. Repeat, lunging the left foot back. That's one rep.

Sideway Lunge + Curtsey

Holding a weight in your right hand, side-lunge to the left, bringing your right hand to your left foot. Lower your butt as much as possible. Keep your toes pointed forward and your left knee bent to no more than 90 degrees. Push off gently with your left foot, and come into a curtsy position with your left leg crossing behind your right as you press your weight overhead. Keep your hips square and your curtsy tight. Both feet should be pointed forward. That's one rep.

Reverse Lunge + Kick

Step back with your left foot coming into a deep lunge bending both knees to 90 degrees. Press the right heel into the ground as you push off with your left foot, kicking your left leg to touch your left toes to your right hand. With control, return to the lunge position. That's one rep.
